India manufactures 20% of the world's generic injectables, capsules and tablets, according to data released by Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. "The Industry is ranked third globally in volume and 14th in value, supplying around 10% of total global production," Azad said. "This also amounts to around 20% of total volume of global generics."
